      Frequently Asked Questions

      • What exactly is the Hawo WSZ Constant Heat Sealer Tongs 300mm used for?

The Hawo WSZ Constant Heat Sealer Tongs 300mm is a professional-grade, portable hand-held heat sealing device specifically designed for sealing heat-sealable films and materials that require a consistent, elevated temperature for a strong, reliable seal. It's particularly adept at handling thicker or more challenging materials.

      • What's the key difference between the Hawo WSZ constant heat sealer and other types of heat sealers?

The defining feature of the Hawo WSZ is its "constant heat" operation; both sealing jaws remain continuously heated to a set temperature as long as the machine is powered on. This differs from impulse sealers, which only heat up when the jaws are compressed, making the WSZ ideal for materials that need sustained heat for a robust seal.

      • Why is the 300mm sealing length important for the Hawo WSZ tongs?

The 300mm sealing length on the Hawo WSZ tongs provides a generous sealing area, making it suitable for a wide variety of pouch and bag sizes. This length is particularly useful for sealing larger items or when you need a consistent, long seal across different packaging formats.

      • What materials can the Hawo WSZ 300mm effectively seal?

The Hawo WSZ 300mm is engineered to seal a range of challenging heat-sealable materials, including coated aluminium film, coated paper, and lacquered cellophane. Its constant heat design ensures a strong seal on these types of packaging.

      • Is the Hawo WSZ 300mm a good choice for thick, heavy-duty packaging?

Yes, absolutely! The Hawo WSZ constant heat sealer is specifically well-suited for mid to high-volume sealing of thicker, heavy-gauge laminated foil packaging. Its consistent heat application ensures that even robust materials are sealed effectively.

Relevant products you may want to consider:

      • Can I use the Hawo WSZ 300mm for sealing industrial components for long-term storage?

Its ability to create a strong, airtight seal is crucial for protecting sensitive items.

      • Is this Hawo sealer suitable for creating custom-sized dust covers from roll stock?

Indeed, the Hawo WSZ 300mm is perfect for this application. Its mobility and generous sealing length allow you to easily create custom dust covers from larger rolls of material, offering flexibility in packaging bulky or unusually shaped items.

      • Could the Hawo WSZ 300mm be used in a commercial kitchen for sealing food products in specific pouches?

While designed for industrial applications, if your food packaging materials are heat-sealable coated papers or foils, the Hawo WSZ 300mm could potentially be adapted for commercial kitchen use, particularly for items requiring robust, airtight seals for freshness or extended shelf life.

      • I need to seal spare parts packaging in various industries. Is the Hawo WSZ a versatile solution for this?

Yes, its versatility is a major advantage. The Hawo WSZ 300mm is widely used for spare parts packaging across all industries due to its ability to handle different heat-sealable materials and create secure seals that protect contents during transport and storage.

      • Can this Hawo sealing tong be used for sealing coffee packaging, especially those with foil linings?

Absolutely. Coffee packaging often utilizes multi-layer films or foil linings to maintain freshness, and the Hawo WSZ 300mm is perfectly suited for sealing these types of materials, ensuring the coffee remains aromatic and protected from external elements.

Relevant products you may want to consider:

      • What kind of seal quality can I expect from the Hawo WSZ 300mm?

      • How do I adjust the sealing temperature on the Hawo WSZ 300mm tongs?

The Hawo WSZ 300mm features an infinitely adjustable temperature control. You simply turn the dial or control to set the desired sealing temperature, allowing you to fine-tune it for different material thicknesses and types to achieve the optimal seal.

      • Do I need a separate power supply or control box for the Hawo WSZ 300mm?

Yes, the Hawo WSZ 300mm requires a separate transformer box for a safe and controlled power supply. This external unit ensures stable operation and manages the constant heat to the sealing jaws.

      • How long does it take for the Hawo WSZ 300mm to warm up before I can start sealing?

As a constant heat sealer, the Hawo WSZ 300mm does require a warm-up time to reach its operating temperature. Typically, it takes around 5 minutes for the sealing jaws to heat up to the desired temperature.

      • Can the Hawo WSZ 300mm be used as a stationary unit on a workbench?

Yes, it can! While designed as a portable hand-held device, an optionally available table clamp allows the Hawo WSZ 300mm tongs to be securely mounted and used as a static table model, offering greater flexibility depending on your operational needs.

Relevant products you may want to consider:

      • How do I ensure a good, consistent seal every time with the Hawo WSZ 300mm?

To achieve a consistent seal, ensure the material is correctly positioned between the sealing jaws, apply firm and even pressure, and allow sufficient dwell time for the heat to effectively fuse the layers of the packaging material. Experimentation with temperature and dwell time for your specific material will yield the best results.

      • What is the material used for the sealing rails of the Hawo WSZ 300mm tongs?

The sealing rails of the Hawo WSZ 300mm tongs are made with a durable PTFE coating. This non-stick coating is crucial as it prevents the sealing material from adhering to the hot jaws, ensuring clean seals and easy operation.

      • What is the typical seam width produced by the Hawo WSZ 300mm?

The Hawo WSZ 300mm produces a robust 12mm wide ribbed seal, which is designed for strong and reliable closure of various packaging materials.

      • Does the Hawo WSZ 300mm have any features to prevent material sticking to the jaws?

Yes, the Hawo WSZ 300mm features a specialized PTFE coating on its sealing rails. This non-stick surface actively prevents the packaging material from sticking to the heated jaws, making the sealing process smoother and ensuring a clean finish.

      • Is the Hawo WSZ 300mm a lightweight device, making it easy to handle?

Yes, despite its robust construction, the Hawo WSZ 300mm is designed to be lightweight, typically weighing around 1.5 kg for the sealing tongs themselves, contributing to its portability and ease of handling during operation.

Relevant products you may want to consider:

      • What kind of power supply does the Hawo WSZ 300mm typically require?

The Hawo WSZ 300mm generally operates on a 230V / 50Hz power supply, common for industrial applications in the UK and Europe, and comes with a separate transformer box to ensure safe and stable power delivery.

      • How do I clean the Hawo WSZ 300mm sealing tongs?

To clean the Hawo WSZ 300mm, always ensure it is switched off and disconnected from the mains power. Use a dry or damp soft cloth with a mild cleaning agent to wipe down the stainless-steel surfaces. Crucially, avoid allowing any water to get into the device itself, as wet cleaning can cause long-term damage.

      • Are there any consumable parts on the Hawo WSZ 300mm that I might need to replace regularly?

Like most heat sealers, consumable parts such as the PTFE cover on the sealing elements may need occasional replacement. Regular inspection for wear and tear is recommended to ensure optimal performance and prevent issues.

      • How often should I inspect the sealing elements of my Hawo WSZ 300mm?

It's a good practice to regularly inspect the sealing elements of your Hawo WSZ 300mm for any signs of damage or wear. This proactive approach helps maintain sealing quality and can prevent unexpected downtime.

      • What's the best way to store the Hawo WSZ 300mm when it's not in use?

To prolong the life of your Hawo WSZ 300mm, always store it in a cool, dry place when it's not in operation. This helps protect the internal components and maintains the integrity of the sealing elements.

      Arthurian Fae Quest…say less.
      Format: Kindle
A fae centered Arthurian tale unlike any I’ve read so far. The author did a great job at descriptive world building, with scenes easily playing out in my minds eye. There was plenty of action, suspense, and even a touch of horror. An enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, a quest, with plot twist and turns aplenty. There was a love triangle, which I’m not usually a fan of but, it played out well in this story line. The FMC, Morgan Pendragon, was so blatantly naïve, yet I typically expect as much in a ‘book one’ of a series, especially one that features a fairly sheltered princess. I was happy to read that in spite of this, she still showed a strong sense of morals, fire, and spine. Now our MMC? Kairos Draven, aka Void’s Edge. Oh, how I’m a sucker for a smoking’ hot grumpy warrior alpha with a witty mouth, and a strong sense of “touch her and die” attitude, so you know who held all my cards. That ending? Just made me swoon all the harder. Now add a battlecat that rivals the size of a horse…and well Ms. Briar Boleyn you have well and truly stolen my heart. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here, and follow along to see more of the characters growth. I went into this story fairly blind, and I think I enjoyed it all the more because of it. Once the story got going, it had me in an absolute chokehold and it was difficult to put down.

      Not a bad start
      Format: Kindle
3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.

Fallen Angels, fae, vampires, oh my!
      Format: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 | Spice: 2 (but a good slow-burn) • Main Characters: Huntyr and Wolf • I couldn’t wait to read this book; there was so much hype about it! And there was no doubt why. I fell in love with the characters and the plot itself. This book is mainly plot driven more than friction driven but it’s easy to follow along with. The characters are fun, easily understood. The main setting is at an academy where both the main characters are going through trials and building strength for the final test, The Transcendent. There are fantastic side characters as well. I loved the camaraderie between Huntyr and her friends. But we don’t like Lanson. 😆 We do have some plot twists that come into play throughout the book. Secrets and betrayal to be seen. I did adore Wolf and Huntyr’s relationship. It was a classic slow burn trope. They didn’t hit it off fast, but in time their feelings grew. I loved their banter, so sexy. Wolf is your next book boyfriend; Huntyr is your next vampire assassin independent bad-a*s female. Themes include loyalty, trust, self-discovery, a true slow burn romance. Side note: book ends on a angsty cliffhanger! • Emily, thank you for writing this awesome novel and I cannot wait to devour Book 2, Blood So Brutal! 😍 • Happy reading, my lovelies! xo

“My heart bows to you and you only, Huntress.”
      Format: Kindle
3.5 🌟 This book popped up in my KU recommended reading suggestions and the synopsis sounded like what I was in the mood for. I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about it and ended up really liking it. I love when this happens. The main characters are likeable and I easily found myself rooting for them. There is a mystery element to each of their backstories that I enjoyed watching unfold and can't wait to get more of. Wolf, in particular, has me fixated. Love him. I found this to be an entertaining, addictive read with a plot that moves along at a good pace. It reads so easily I found myself very reluctant to put it down. Lots of twists and turns and the angst is there. A good set up for the next book to come, for sure. My issues with this book....the dialogue feels a bit juvenile at times and there is a repetitive over use of a particular word phrasing that I found myself giving the ole eye-roll to. There are, without a doubt, some pretty cliche moments that gave me a bit of the cringe. I think this could've certainly 100% benefited from more depth regarding the world building. Perhaps the world building was sacrificed to keep the pacing quick? Just a guess. Also, the lack of consistency of character for the FMC was really evident and so she feels quite illogical at times. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable read that hit the spot well enough for me. That ending certainly has me impatiently pining for book 2!

      Interesting take on the genre
      Format: Kindle
True rating: 3.25 ⭐️ I enjoyed the fresh take on the genre. The best way I could describe the setting and world is an apocalyptic dystopian version of Farie where vampires, fae, and angles struggle to survive in what is left of the world. It was definitely interesting throwing the academy/hunger games aspect into this world as well. Even though I guessed the final reveal early on in the book, I kept hoping I was wrong, and it would take a surprising turn. While the "plot twists" were a bit predictable to me, I still enjoyed the ride this book took me on. Another downfall for me was the plot holes in the world building... I.E. if society has fallen and the world is in the aftermath of war, how are there trains running around the world? Just to take young adults to the trials to get into the golden city? How is the train maintained, the tracks clear, etc? However, I did enjoy the FMC & MMC and thought they were fleshed out nicely. I also enjoyed the side characters but wish some were developed more like Ashalin (sp?). I do find myself rooting for the MCs to succeed and find happiness together, which is obviously an important aspect for romantasy. Overall, was this an earth-shattering, mind-bending, terrific piece of literature? No. But was it the worst thing I've read this year? Also, no. This book has, to me, the bones of a great read & just needs a bit more to push it from an alright book to a great book. Overall ratings: Plot- 3.5⭐️ World building 3⭐️ Spice 2.5 🌶🌶 Main characters 4 ⭐️ Supporting characters 3.5⭐️
