Perhaps youve heard the term exfoliation your entire life, but why do beauty specialists tell us its important to exfoliate our skin? Its true that our skin is necessary to protect us from environmental factors such as UV rays, pollution, and other free radicals but too many layers of dead skin can cause more problems than benefits. Exfoliation is the act of removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. While a babys skin rejuvenates itself about every seven days, an adults skin can take up to 20, 30, or more days to complete a full cycle. On the surface it doesnt seem like this time difference would really matter, but it does when we consider the speed with which skin cells are sloughed off. For a baby who loses skin cells quickly, the cells are also easily sloughed, but as we get older our cells become more stubborn and dont slough off as easily leaving newer cells trapped beneath the surface and older skin cells on the top. Once you consider this and the fact that some of our skin cells stay on the surface of the skin for 20-30+ days, its easy to see that potential problems might occur especially when our cells are stuck below the surface with oil and dirt. Some common problems which can be solved by regular exfoliation are uneven skin texture, discoloration, dullness, and acne. Exfoliating is the best way to keep your skin soft and looking young and it is a way to reveal the new skin that lies underneath dead skin. It doesnt matter how much lotion you apply to your skin, if you are not exfoliating your skin on a regular basis, your skin cannot absorb all the benefits of your moisturizer.

Instructions:

Directions: Hydrate your body for approximately 5 minutes in a hot shower or steam room. Its important for your entire body to be warm and moist before beginning this purifying treatment. Smooth Chaacoca Moroccan Black Soap over your whole body and work in using a circular motion. Leave on for at least 5 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with warm water. After rinsing, use Moroccan mitt (hammam glove) to exfoliate your skin using a circular motion. Rinse again. You will be amazed at the exfoliating power of this product. Finish by washing with your preferred daily soap.
