Betrayal: Legacy is a legacy game like no other. Are you ready to take on some horrifying hauntings? Well, this time your actions have consequences beyond the end of the haunt...Following the suit of the many, many horrific haunts from the original and its expansion, each play is done in two parts; the initial play and the haunt.

However, this version is ran over 13 chapters; each differing entirely from the last but all linking the story set before the events of Betrayal at House on the Hill... How you act, what you do, and whether you survive will all directly affect the sequence of play... Betraying your friends has never been so fun!

The game is played with 3-5 players and is suitable for ages 12+ due to some of the more adult horror elements, however the haunts vary in their theme meaning the level of fear produced is different every time. All players take on the role of a member of a different family, with players using characters from the previous game (had they survived) or creating new characters within their families, but do not expect to use any character for too long!

Every new chapter of Betrayal: Legacy introduces new events, items, and other mechanics for players to make use of, meaning that the game increases in potential with every play through. Like the original, this version moves quickly with players building the ground floor, basement, upper floor and newly introduced gardens. Tiles contain a variety of different elements that may hinder or aid your characters journey. The classics are all still present, however Omen and Item cards can be named to add more uniqueness to the game and ensure the game is tailored and affected by players' choices.

As a new mechanic, players can heirloom items to aid later generations further by adding more sentimentality to them and increasing their powers. Once the haunt begins the game changes in tone and no longer is adventure the goal, but it's now survival. Players will take on their roles as heroes or traitors and will have their own win conditions.

The true beauty of Betrayal: Legacy is that, at the end, you will have your own unique copy of Betrayal at House on the Hill, still entirely playable and unique to your own experiences! It will have been changed and affected by the events of those 13 chapters, meaning any two copies of it will be never be the same. How your characters act, move, use items, and even die changes the end product. No need to wait around! Get betraying and catch that traitor!
