The solid construction of these spacers means they won't crush or compress even in vertical installations of heavy, large format tiles. Being solid also means that mortar will not load up in these spacers that can occur with hollow backed spacers. The non-tapered design assures these spacers stay in place and won't be pushed out of wall tile installations.
