The new design of the body-and-rain-shield-interlock eliminates the use of caulk and thereby makes the range feeder waterproof. The range feeder is constructed completely out of strong, very durable, UV heavy duty plastic with reinforced ridges around the sides allowing it to easily handle UP TO 300lbs of feed. The diameter of the shield measures 36" which gives full coverage over the 29 1/2" feeding pan. Additional features recently added to this unit include a new locking mechanism for the lid, as well as a newly designed rain/weather shield. The newly designed locking mechanism for the lid securely connects the feed lid to the top of the newly increased in size feeder filler top opening of 16 1/2". This practically eliminates any chance of the lid blowing off in extremely windy environments. The newly designed rain/weather shield has 3 1/2" extended sides to better accommodate regions with particularly strong winds. The extended side of the rain/weather shield helps prevent wind from wasting valuable feed, as well as helping to prevent the feed from getting wet in rainy conditions. A complete set of instructions is supplied with each unit to provide trouble-free installation. The feed adjustment, being located in between the pan and the body, completely eliminates the need of metal legs. Now the desired feed height can be obtained by directly mounting the feeder body to the pan at the ideal feed flow level.

This unit is packed in two oversized cartons from the supplier's warehouse along with additional handling because of the size of the boxes. 

This Range Feeder can handle UP TO 300lbs of feed depending on the kind of feed that you are using. Pelleted feed takes up more space and therefore you can't get as much in. If using mash and crumbles, you can get more in. Approx. 3-4 feeders needed for 1000 birds.

The shipping on these is very high due to them needing to be shipped by dimensional weight. If you are purchasing multiple feeders, it may be cheaper to go by truck.
