The Microtubes 900 V2 begins with a selection of baseline tone shaping tools. This version two of the original Microtubes features an enhanced EQ section along with responsive Master volume and Gain controls. Fair warning - the Microtubes 900 loves to get loud. Further tone sculpting tools upon the 900 V2 include a passive/active switch, an overdrive voicing switch, and of course, the Microtubes Engine. This single button unlocks the pre-clean effect section that loads in controls for natural compression, warm signal saturation, and harmonic enhancement. Totally, the Microtubes Engine delivers on massive and accessible bass tonality.

The back of the amp displays modern Darkglass design at work. Modern musical features of the Microtubes 900 V2 include MIDI integration, pre and post DI connections, three cabinet impulses, a headphone out, and effects loop. Connection to the Darkglass Suite personal computer application via the USB out integrates different cabinet impulses to the Microtubes and adjusts different effect or MIDI parameters.
