With Retropolitan, Skyzoo’s most recent collaborative project with Pete Rock, he got to
live out a dream, as two generations of legendary native New Yorkers aligned to create
an album that was both a love letter and a wakeup call to the city they love.

Now, with The Bluest Note, Skyzoo is checking another box on his bucket list. “Since my debut album, I’ve never released a project that didn’t include a moment of jazz influence; with some sort of live instrumentation, something that connected my lyricism with the truest definition of musical lyricism; jazz” Skyzoo commented.

“As much as I’ve incorporated my favorite genre of music with my other favorite genre of music, this is the first time I’ve been able to craft an entire project based on jazz production from top to bottom” Skyzoo quipped. “The Bluest Note is a testament to something I’d been longing to do for as far back as I can remember.”

In 2017, Sky was touring in Italy and met the Tuff Kong Records team, who recruited Dumbo Station to bring Skyzoo’s vision to life and in June 2019 Skyzoo was in Rome writing, composing and recording music with the talented musicians.

“Collaborating with Italy’s renowned jazz band Dumbo Station was an absolute honor. From writing musical arrangements with them and having them bring them to life in the studio in Rome, Italy; it was a perfect union and execution of what I foresaw when I began to sketch out the project. Six songs, as an homage to the classic jazz albums of the genre’s heyday (when LPs were around six tracks total). The Bluest Note is the storytelling and inner-city expressions you’ve come to know and love from me, attached to the jazz orchestration I’m dying to introduce to some and re-introduce to others. This is my fourth time purchasing this Amazon Basics mid-back office chair, which says a lot about its overall value. It looks clean and modern, fits well in a home office, and is genuinely comfortable for daily use. I typically get about a year and a half out of each one, which feels reasonable given the price point and materials. Out of the box, the chair is easy to assemble and immediately comfortable. The padding is supportive, the armrests are well positioned, and the faux leather gives it a more upscale appearance than many chairs in this category. It rolls smoothly, swivels easily, and works well for long computer sessions without causing back or shoulder fatigue. That said, this is not a lifetime chair. After extended use, the cushioning and structure do begin to wear, and that’s usually when I replace it. Still, considering the comfort, appearance, and cost, it remains one of the best value office chairs I’ve found — which is why I keep buying it again. Pros: • Comfortable padding and good mid-back support • Clean, modern appearance that looks great in an office • Smooth rolling and stable base • Easy assembly • Excellent value for the price Cons: • Durability is moderate; expect replacement after about 1½ years • Not designed for long-term heavy-duty use Verdict: If you want a comfortable, attractive, and affordable office chair that performs well for daily use, this is a strong choice. It may not last forever, but its comfort and value make it easy to recommend — and easy to repurchase.

Had for just over 9 years now and still pretty solid

I ordered this chair back in December 2015 for our front office, and it's been moved to our back shop where we fabricate. We're not a gentle work space by any stretch of the imagination; we build stuff and it's messy, lots of tools etc. This chair has held up surprisingly well! The faux leather is delaminating almost entirely on the seat but honestly, I'd expect that for faux leather on something that is used daily. The seat pad, in my opinion, has gotten de-poofed. So it's not plush anymore but still usable. I've asked the guy that's using it if they want an upgrade/update and they said they like it and don't want to change it out just yet. That's saying something! The size is nice and wide. We've had a range of differently sized folks sit in the chair over the years and the seat was always comfortable (less now without so much seat poof), I was able to sit cross-legged and the whole chair felt sturdy then as it does now. All of the standards functions you'd want an office chair to do, it can still do: it goes up and down smoothly, it rolls just fine, it's still pivot-reclines comfortably and doesn't feel like it's going to topple. I like it!
