The Steppin' Razor. "She's dangerous..." ~Peter Tosh

High-Performance Freestyle, River Play, and Surf Paddleboard - Limited Number Drop.

Designers and Shapers: Jason Zawadzki, Nick Zawadzki, and Barry Kennon

Have you secured your spot on the waitlist for one of our coveted models and sizes? If so, we'll keep you updated via text, email, or both! Once your order is placed, we'll craft it meticulously to your exact specifications and ship it within a swift 2-4 weeks.

We entered the shaping room with the aim of designing a compact river Freestyle board that could play all day in the current and surf waves.

The Razor is slightly lighter and less voluminous than our King DUB 8'8", with a volume of 220L versus 250L. With less weight and volume, it's more maneuverable, feels quicker, and is more sensitive to edge control and foot steering.

Rocker Profile: It has the same proven down-river/river play rocker as the King DUB 8'8".

Contact us for sizing. We enjoy discussing with anyone ordering one of our more technical Armalight boards to ensure we provide the proper size and shape.

It is designed for performance and offers a blend of maximum stability, river play (Freestyle), and surfability.

The bottom channel and contours enhance secondary stability, speed, surfing performance, and extreme rock fin avoidance!

FEATURES

  • Vent/Handle System: New models come with a custom Hydrus Carbon Fiber Handle with Self-Regulating Gore-Tex Vent
  • Fin System: Recessed rock avoidance channel with 4.5" flexible river fin.
  • Traction: Custom-made Hydrus Traction Pad
  • Construction: Handmade in Eagle, Idaho, USA. Proprietary Armalight™+Carbon Fiber Construction with our Ultra-Lightweight Fusion-EPS Foam Core

“Steppin’ Razor” by Peter Tosh is a song brimming with defiance, self-confidence, and a sense of personal power. Written by Joe Higgs, the song was originally performed by Higgs in the 1960s but became widely known when Peter Tosh adopted it, reinterpreting it in a way that aligned with his bold and rebellious persona.

Themes and Meaning

The song serves as an assertion of individuality and a warning to those who might underestimate or disrespect Tosh. The phrase “steppin’ razor” metaphorically conveys sharpness, danger, and an unyielding nature. It encapsulates Tosh’s personality: he was uncompromising, outspoken, and deeply committed to fighting against oppression and injustice. Tosh often described himself as a freedom fighter, and “Steppin’ Razor” reflects that ethos.

Why Did He Sing It?

For Peter Tosh, this song became a personal anthem, embodying his worldview and approach to life. Tosh faced significant challenges in his career, including resistance from authorities and exploitation in the music industry. “Steppin’ Razor” allowed him to channel his frustrations and declare his resilience. The song also speaks to his broader struggles against colonialism, racism, and inequality, themes central to his music and activism.

Historical Context

Peter Tosh recorded “Steppin’ Razor” during a period when he was emerging as a solo artist after leaving The Wailers. His music increasingly reflected his militancy and commitment to Rastafarian ideals, social justice, and spiritual empowerment. Tosh wasn’t afraid to challenge political systems or societal norms, and this track reinforced his image as a dangerous figure to those in power and a voice of strength to his fans.

Legacy

“Steppin’ Razor” remains a symbol of Tosh’s legacy as a fierce and uncompromising artist. It’s celebrated for its lyrical potency and has inspired countless listeners to embrace their strength and stand tall in the face of adversity.

Flavored Water I Actually Crave
Flavor Name: Best Sellers Variety Pack, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 12), Flavor Name: Best Sellers Variety Pack, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 12)
I didn’t expect to get hooked on a flavored water, but Hint Water Watermelon has honestly become one of my everyday essentials. I usually get bored with plain water, but this hits that perfect balance, it’s just enough flavor to keep things interesting without feeling fake or overpowering. The watermelon taste is super light and refreshing, like a subtle hint of a fresh slice rather than that overly sweet candy version you get with a lot of drinks. I’ve tried a ton of flavored waters, and this is one of the few that doesn’t leave any weird aftertaste, which is a huge win for me. I find myself reaching for it throughout the day, especially when I’m trying to stay hydrated but don’t want soda or anything sugary. It just feels clean and easy to drink. At this point, it’s kind of replaced most other drinks for me. I always make sure I have a few bottles on hand.

Great value for a quality brew - Dark Roast
Flavor Name: Dark Roast, Size: 24 Count (Pack of 1)
Have been buying a name brand at almost 2x the price. This is rich, bold, and flavorful. We like this dark roast coffee a lot. We will buy it again and continue enjoying these handy pods for our morning coffee.

Great coffee at a great price point.
Flavor Name: Dark Roast, Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
I priced these against the pods were were getting from big box and grocery stores and found these were slightly less expensive. Took a chance on these when I didn't have time to run to the store. My coffee connoisseur co-worker said they were the best we've had and our guests have commented on how nice the flavor is. For the price, you can't beat it.

A dark option.
Flavor Name: Dark Roast, Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
I decided to try this--I like a robust, rich flavored coffee. The color of Happy Belly Dark is good but the flavor a bit lacking for me.
