In 1498, Albrecht Dürer published The Apocalypse, a series of fifteen woodcuts illustrating the visions from the Book of Revelation. These prints were unlike anything the world had seen before. Dürer carved scenes of angels, beasts, and the four horsemen with a level of drama and technical mastery that announced a new age of printmaking.
This garment features his most famous work from that series, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, recreated in full detail across the entire surface. Every fold, stroke, and cloud comes directly from Dürer’s original woodcut. The composition remains intact, allowing the work to wrap around the form as a single flowing image.
Each sweatshirt is printed using water-based pigment inks on soft, durable cotton fabric. Every piece is individually cut, sewn, and inspected to preserve the artwork’s integrity. The texture and shading of the woodcut come through with remarkable clarity, turning a sixteenth-century print into a modern textile without losing its power.
This is a limited-edition release. Each piece is produced in small quantities. The art used to make these reproductions was sourced from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
