What it actually is

A hard-sided foldable PVC tub, 60 cm across and 20 cm tall, with an octagonal floor and a screw-cap drain valve on the side. The panels lock open in seconds, hold their shape under a wet dog, and collapse flat for the cupboard when you're done. Use it indoors as a contained bathtub for puppies and small dogs, as a paw-rinse station for any dog after a muddy walk, or outdoors as a shallow paddle for small dogs to cool off in.

When you'll actually use it

• Puppy and small-dog bath — contained tub for the dog who hates the bathroom shower or doesn't fit comfortably in the kitchen sink.
• Post-walk paw rinse — for any size dog. Set up by the back door, rinse muddy paws straight into it, drain through the valve.
• Small-dog summer cool-down — fill in the garden on a hot day, let your Jack Russell or French bulldog sit in shallow water.
• Puppy bath training — the shallow depth lets a puppy get used to water without the slippery-bathtub panic.

Honest answers

Will my dog fit?

If your dog weighs roughly under 12 kg and stands shorter than knee-height on you, yes — they'll fit standing flat with room to sit down. Cocker spaniels and French bulldogs are about the upper limit for sitting comfortably. Labradors, golden retrievers, German shepherds, and similar large-breed dogs don't fit. For larger dogs, this product still works as a paw-rinse station (front paws only, after a muddy walk) — but it's not their bath.

Can my dog actually swim in this?

No. The walls are 20 cm — that's belly-deep on a Jack Russell, ankle-deep on a Labrador if they could stand in it. It's a paddling, bathing, and rinsing pool, not a swimming pool. If you want a dog who can actually swim, you need a bigger pool, a paddling lake, or the sea.

How do I empty it without flooding the floor?

Use the side drain valve. Unscrew the cap, point the valve into a bucket, sink, or garden gully, and let it drain by gravity. Indoors, position the pool near a sink or a wet room before you fill it — moving a full pool is a two-person job (or a one-person mistake).

Is it actually waterproof and won't leak?

Yes for normal use — fill it, sit a wet dog in it, drain it. PVC seams are heat-welded; under typical paddling-pool depths they hold. If you find a leak in the first weeks of use, that's a manufacturing defect — contact us and we'll replace.

Will it slip on tile or decking when wet?

Possibly — PVC on a wet smooth floor can move. For indoor bath use, put a folded towel or a non-slip mat under the pool. Outdoors on grass or rough decking it's stable.

Can I leave it set up in the garden all summer?

We don't recommend it. PVC isn't UV-stable for permanent outdoor use — sustained sun exposure will fade the colour and weaken the material over a season. Fold it down between uses; it's designed for that.

Is the PVC safe for my dog?

It's a standard PVC dog-pool material — the same construction used across the foldable-pool category. We don't carry independent toxicity testing, so we don't make "non-toxic" or "pet-safe" marketing claims. Don't let your dog chew the rim, and don't let them drink the bathwater (you wouldn't anyway).

What's the difference between this and a kid's paddling pool?

The drain valve, mostly. A garden-centre kid's paddling pool you tip over the lawn; PawPool you drain through a valve into a bucket. The hard-sided panels also hold their shape under a wet dog standing on the rim — kid's pools collapse.

Will it fit in a small garden / on a balcony?

Yes — at 60 cm across it fits a balcony corner, a patio square, a small bathroom floor, or a utility room. Footprint is about the same as a small coffee table.

Do you do bigger sizes?

Not yet. We're starting with this one because it's the size that covers the most pet households (small dogs, puppies, paw rinse for any dog). If you'd like a Medium or Large, drop us a message — if there's enough demand, we'll add the sizes to a follow-on launch.
