This exciting Vintera III series entry brings together a cavalcade of retro-inspired features for a fully realized vintage bass guitar in the modern day.
In the Vintera III series, we're treated to different tracks of guitar design. The Early '70s Jazz Bass does just that: brings out an authentic Fender Jazz Bass experience as it was in the early 1970s. Everything here starts with an alder body wrapped in a gloss polyester finish. Smooth and easily carried across a stage, this bass works as an excellent sonic base. Reaching out, this Jazz Bass brings on a gloss-finished maple neck in an Early '70s "C" profile. This neck plays smoothly and quickly for getting across groovy bass lines like '70s J Bass legends. A round-laminated rosewood fingerboard lands with this neck lined with twenty Vintage Tall frets across a vintage-accurate 7.25" radius.
Backing up this '70s model's physical feel, the Fender Vintera III series loads in two Vintage-Style Early '70s Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups that summon all the classic '70s punch and thump needed to continue on in the J Bass legacy. Individual pickup volume controls and a master tone control introduce a faithful EQ shaping experience. These pickups are built up with a bone nut and Vintage-Style Open-Back tuning machines for smooth stringing while a 4-Saddle Vintage-Style with Single-Groove Steel Barrel saddles keeps intonation sturdy. This Fender Vintera III Early '70s Jazz Bass travels with an included Fender Deluxe gig bag.
